Californians Advancing Civic Education (CACE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing institutional and financial support to civic education throughout the Golden State. Founded in 2011, CACE now annually provides over 125 hours of free, effective, and engaging educational programming for California students. CACE also provides teachers vital volunteer support and other resources.

High School OutreachCACE additionally supports schools that participate in the Center for Civic Education We the People Competition, a rigorous nationwide program which tests students on the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Since its founding in 2011, CACE volunteers and educators have worked with hundreds of We the People students at schools throughout the state, and provided thousands of hours of instruction about virtually every aspect of American government. In that short time, CACE’s efforts have supported six California champions, five National top ten finishers, and two National medalists. Most importantly, all students that participated in the program received top-notch instruction on the Constitution and civic virtue.

Who are We?CACE is made up of community leaders from a variety of disciplines. Lawyers, teachers, business people, activists, and other folks who want to have a ludicrous amount of fun while supporting good government. Just as the bedrock of Constitutional democracy is civic engagement, the key to civic engagement is an informed populace. CACE invites everyone to join our efforts to ensure the future of constitutional democracy, one student at a time.
